Book Review: ‘The Stolen Coast: A Novel’ By Dwyer Murphy

Jack Betancourt lives in the small coastal town of Onset, right before the bridge to go to Cape Cod. The town is quiet, with a lot of long time people that live there. Jack works for his father in the family business, helping people in trouble to vanish, who get in trouble with the wrong type of people. Jack’s father started it, and it is a successful business. Then during this summer Jack’s ex-girlfriend Elena shows up, after seven years, and soon trouble follows. She wants to steal very valuable diamonds, and wants Jack to help. Elena has a plan, but like all plans, things don’t go according to plan, and Jack and Elena and determined to get the job done, no matter what it takes. A well-written novel, with interesting characters and plot. Fans of crime-fiction, will enjoy this one.
