After a deadly ship explosion, nine people are alive in a lifeboat, drifting out in the middle of the North Atlantic ocean. The story is narrated by Benji, who keeps a notebook about what’s going on. Then a mysterious young man that is pulled out of the ocean out of nowhere. When someone says ‘Thank The Lord We Found You,’ he responds by saying ‘I am the Lord.’ No one believes that he can be God and if he was, why haven’t they been saved? As the days go on the ship blowing up is big news around the world and searchers are trying to find it or information about what happened. As the days go by one by one people are dying. In order for God to help them, everyone must accept the Lord. The life raft finally surfaces and the mysteries and shocking reveals about what really happened are revealed. This is another one of author Mitch Albom’s inspirational, faith based books. I am not a religious person but the overall story is a page-turner, with twists that satisfy.

You can pick up The Stranger In The Lifeboat in stores on Tuesday, November 2nd from Harper.
