Book Review: ‘The Stage Kiss: A Novel’ By Amelia Jones

Eden Blake is the understudy for the musical Liz and Darcy: The Musical, now touring the country. Everyone is excited when Tony winner Brennon Thorne joins the cast as the leading man. WHen Eden first meets him, it doesn’t go well, he’s a complete ass. Then she finds out the actress playing the lead has left, and she now has the lead, has to work with Brennon, and kiss him during the play. On stage things are fine, off-stage there’s a chill between the two of them, until things heat up, and then they both have to figure out who they are and what they really want from each other, and their careers. This is a fun rom-com, with interesting characters, and a look at life during a play on the road. Fans of this genre will like this one.
