It’s a return to Lowe Lockwood in England, and The Fairway Players are ready to put on another play, this time an Agatha Christie novel, The Hollow, which was set in 1951. Leading the group is Sarah-Jane and Kevin, who will be the director. Now he just has to find a cast. Also returning to town is Sarah’s sister, Nicky-Rose, who has an agenda of her own. In order to fill out the cast, they need to reach out to an old cast member, who, years ago, caused some issues. We follow along with the various cast members, lawyers, and the police, as someone has been murdered, a situation from Nicky’s past needs attention, and various affairs seem to be taking place. It’s all told via emails, and text messages, and phone calls, in the unique way that author Janice Hallett writes her novels. This is the follow-up to The Appeal, and it’s another great novel full of twists and full of interesting characters. I look forward to Janice’s books every year.
