On Cape Cod, in the town of London, a psychic fair is taking place, and the town is overrun. For Gemma Doyle, who owns the bookshop, this is good news. Gemma is invited to a private seance, by her friend Bunny, a former pop star, whose daughter works for Gemma. She has no desire to go, but is talked into it, where she is thrown out of the room, once the seance starts. During the event, someone is killed, and all are now suspects, except Gemma. Her Detective boyfriend shows up, and starts the investigation, but is having no luck figuring out which of the 11 people in the room in a murderer, so he asks Gemma for help. Of course, someone doesn’t like this, and Gemma may be in over her head. This is the ninth book in the series, and they keep getting better. And this one also features Moriarty, the black cat, who lives at the store, and loves everyone. Author Vicki Delaney writes such fun, small-town mystery novels.
