Book Review: ‘The September House: A Novel’ By Carissa Orlando

Margaret and Hal have finally bought the house of their dreams, a house where people died 100 years ago. It doesn’t faze them, and they move in and things are good for a while. Not one to be stopped, Margaret is determined to find out the secrets of the house, no matter the cost. Filled with a 100-year-old housekeeper, who has killed with an axe, a mysterious bad guy in the basement, and other assorted ghosts, this is a great debut novel from author Carissa Orlando. For fans of ghosts, horror, dark comedy, and a thrilling story, this is the novel for you.
