Mirren found an antique book that her late aunt had, and it turned into some publicity for her. A year later, she’s stuck at work and has no real plans for Christmas. She runs into Jamie McKinnon, who offers her a job to come to Scotland and find a valuable book that is hidden in the castle that his late Grandfather left him. She agrees, and on the train, there she spots Theo, who worked with her on the book she found for her aunt and then ghosted her. Together, they have been hired to find the book. The castle is old and falling apart and they have no idea where the book could be or what the book is. When they start finding clues. they think they are on to something, and soon find themselves trapped there by a blinding snowstorm. On top of that. Mirren and Jamie find themselves attracted to each other and soon act on it. When they learn a shocking truth about his Grandfather, it leads them to where they think the book might be, and it could change everything for them. This is another fun book that only Jenny Colgan could write. The setting, the weather, and the ode to books all make this a holiday book worth reading.
