Cory Pratt and his dogs, Alice and Rex, who are trained to find dead bodies, are called into the woods to help look for an elderly man, possibly lost in the woods, by his cop sister Crystal. The dogs find him, he committed suicide and then the dogs find two graves dug deep in the forest, with a total of four dead bodies. The bodies are identified, one by one, and it leads back to a bank robbery in 1994, that was never solved. Today the person responsible for what happened back then is not happy the bodies have been found and hires a fixer to cover any potential details leading back to him, including the murder of one of the mothers of the dead people. The more they investigate, the more danger they find themselves in. This is the second novel in the series and it’s a good follow-up to the first novel. The relationships between Cory and Crystal and the dogs is well-written and fun to read.
