Adam and Jess just bought a Victorian home that needs a lot of work. It’s move-in day with their three kids, cat, dog, and hamster. Adam finds a secret room in one of the upstairs bedrooms and starts investigating it. He finds a wallet, a Rolex watch, a flip phone and a few other things. When Jess finds a number in the phone, she calls it but gets no answer. Adam, who is keeping a secret that he lost his job, sells the watch for a good price and thinks he is done with things involving that room. Then they get mysterious texts and threats, someone wants the watch, the phone and the other things found in that room, and goes to great lengths to have everything. Adam starts investigating the house and soon learns shocking things about who used to live there, murders, and isn’t sure who to trust. Things reach a fever pitch when the person wanting everything back decides to make their move. This is a great psychological thriller that takes you on a ride and has any number of potential suspects. This is one you will not want to put down.
