Dr. Emery Martin never had time for love until she met Luca at a wedding, and two months later, they were married. She has a job working at a biomedical company, working on a top-secret project that one day might be able to bring humans back to life after they die. When she’s late to meet Luca on their anniversary, she is to meet him on the road, and they will be together. When she pulls up, someone hits him with their car, and he dies, or does he? Rushing him to her lab, along with her best friend, Annie, they inject him with the product, and he comes back to life, with no memory. Emery knows she has a second chance, and decides to change her life, and soon they fall in love again, and he starts to get his memory back. Soon, danger is around the corner when someone knows what she does, and lives are in peril. This is another great novel from the writing team of Christian Lauren, who never disappoints. This couple is great to follow along, and you root for them to be together and fall in love again. A perfect summer beach read.
