Book Review: ‘The Rock: Through the Lens: His Life, His Movies, His World’

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock played football in college, then followed his famous father Rocky Johnson into the world of professional wrestling. At first he wasn’t anything special or popular, by the time he finished his career he was on top of the world. He left for Hollywood and is now one of the highest paid actors on the planet.

In this new book The Rock: Through the Lens: His Life, His Movies, His World, one of his best friends and former brother in law Hiram Garcia, who has known DJ as he calls him since 1991, has put together the ultimate picture book of The Rock/Dwayne Johnson/DJ/The People’s Champion, whatever you want to call him. It’s a fascinating and up close collection of candid pics of The Rock at various places, events, with his family and much more. With little antidotes about each picture to understand what is going on at the time.

If you’re a fan of The Rock this is truly a special look at him. You can pick it up in stores on Tuesday, September 8th from St. Martin’s Press.
