Book Review: ‘The Reunion: A Novel’ By Kayla Olson

Twenty years ago the highly successful TV series Girl On The Verge ended, making superstars out of the cast, and the two leads Liv Latimer and Ransom Joel. They were best friends, and everyone thought they were together. By the time the series ended, their friendship grew apart. Now 20 years later, a reunion show has been signed, and it’s time to get the cast back together. For Liv, that means seeing Ransom again, she has only talked to him a few times in the last few years. He has become an action star, and looks good. They seem to pick up their friendship right away, and begin hanging out, and talking. There’s something there between them, and they decide to act on it, but keep it quiet, until the press finds out, and it leads to issues between the two of them. The pressure of the reunion show, their management, and showbiz threaten to tear them apart. A great look at the Hollywood system, and two people that just want to live their lives. Fans of this genre will be happy with this book, and the love story of Liv and Ransom.
