Four married couples, Hank and Pam, Marlene and Dave, Andre and Shalisa and Larry and Nancy have been friends a long time. None of their marriages at this point are any good, especially when Hank lost everyone a lot of money four years ago. He is a top man at the local casino, when he hired Dave four years ago as a maintenance man on the machines. Dave found a flaw in the slot machines and has been stealing money for four years, a little over 9 million, which he is sharing with his three friends. When Dave dies of a freak accident, Hank thinks the new owners are on to them and has sent hitmen after them. He hires Hector, a barber with a checkered past to watch their backs. When the wives find out Dave had a big life insurance policy and that their husbands did as well, they also hired Hector, to kill their husbands so they can get the money. Hector has double-dipped and it becomes a game of cat and mouse between Hector, the husbands, the wives and a hitman from India wanting the money back. Who survives and outwits each other makes for some fun reading. This is a twisty novel that has so many different turns you need a scorecard for. A perfect spring novel.
