A thrilling, eerie novel set in a Swedish remote house in winter is the highlight of this novel. It starts off strong and never lets up, with twists and turns to keep you guessing as you read along. Eleanor walks in on her Grandmother being killed and the killer runs right by her. She has a medical condition and can’t recall the face, so she can’t identify the killer. She soon learns she has inherited her everything from her grandmother, including a manor house she never knew about. She along with her boyfriend, an aunt with a chip on her shoulder and a lawyer go to the house to inventory it and get it ready to sell. Once there strange things happen, a shadow figure is seen, a groundskeeper is missing, someone gets attacked and then shocking secrets are revealed via flashback episodes and someone comes forward with a grudge and looking for revenge. The past and the present collide and who survives is an intense ride.

You can pick up The Resting Place in stores on Tuesday, March 29th from Minotaur Books.
