The sequel to last year’s outstanding Rabbits, finds the came has vanished from the internet, and all mentions of it. That doesn’t stop Emily Connors from looking, and finding herself in danger. Rowan Chess is also in danger, and he’s never played or heard of the game. Their paths cross, as does others, and they try to compare notes. But the Rabbit patrol is not having it, and there’s numerous kidnaps, good guys, bad guys, and faces from the past popping up. Turns out the multiverse, when there’s more than one stream of people’s lives, is having a crisis, and this one is about to collapse. Just what is Rowan’s and Emily’s connections to this game, this stream, and to The Quiet Room, where everything leads to. This is a great follow-up, with so many twists and turns, cat and mouse games, and needing a scorecard to keep up. If you didn’t read the first one (and I suggest you do), this is written as a standalone novel, and it’s one you will not want to put down.
You can pick up The Quiet Room in stores on Tuesday, October 3rd from Del Rey.
