Ashland, Oregon, is the setting for the 24th novel in the series. It’s fall, and for Jules, it’s almost time to have her twin babies. She’s working at the bakeshop, coming up with new flavors. When Lance arrives and tells her he is meeting with a new wedding planner, the one he had hired was flaking on him. He meets with Tippy Bartlet, a high-end planner, and agrees to sign with her. Something is off though; his previous wedding planner accuses her of sabotaging her agreement with Lance, a woman named Judith comes by and praises Tippy. Then others are furious with her and threaten to kill her, and then Jules finds her dead in the water. Now, the police are on the case, and Jules and Lance are investigating, and have a number of potential suspects they interview, and soon Jules finds herself alone with a killer. On a positive note, she has her twins by the end of the book. This is another fun, small-town murder mystery with these delightful characters in Ashland. By the time you finish reading this, you will be hungry for sweets!
