Aline Griffith was born in a small N.Y. city, went to Catholic women’s school and graduated. Then started modeling for a well known fashiong designer. Then at a dinner party she met a man that changed her life, he works for Office of Strategic Services and sees something in Aline. The next day she gets a cryptic message and goes to Washington to meet someone. She’s told to be very generic. No one can know what she’s doing. She will be followed. She cannot ever break or let it be known she’s in training to be a spy. She passes and gets sent to Spain in 1944 to find Nazi supporters among the elite there. She also meets and marries a Spanish rich man, who’s in society. She pauses on her spy-work to have a family but years later she starts up again. A lot is researched and revealed by the author but some stuff remains classified. Author Larry Loftis did a great job in his research and showing what a strong woman Aline was. Her story is fascinating and you feel like you’re there with Aline on her journey.
