Ava Anderson’s mother died when she was eleven, and she has no idea what actually happened to her. Ava’s mother would vanish for weeks and then come back, never saying where she was. Today, Ava knows her mother was an agent, and she is a CIA agent as well, stationed in Moscow, the last known area that Ava’s mother was. She has tried to access her mother’s files, with no luck. She is stationed with Ben Jennings, trying to turn an FSB agent, to figure out who has been making cyber attacks against the U.S. government. She also hopes to figure out what happened to her mother, and is more determined when she gets a mysterious text telling her that her mother is still alive. Ava needs to be careful being in Russia, not trust anyone, even Ben, whom she has the hots for, and watch her back at all times, for what she finds out could be a game-changer. This is an intense thriller set in Russia, where you could be killed at the drop of a hat. Author Butler is a former CIA agent, so she knows about what she writes. This is one you will not want to put down.
