Layla Bailey is a doctor who travels around to different locations for weeks at a time. She is divorced from Jamie, and has stayed close to his family. She has been invited to his sister, Emily’s, wedding, in Paris. She agrees to go, even though it means being near Jamie, and going to where they had their honeymoon. On the plane, she helps with a medical issue and has to deal with a rude man, who she later meets, Griffin, who is the best man and has a chip on his shoulder. When Emily gets cold feet, it’s up to Layla and Griffin to team up and try and save the marriage. They end up getting close and soon have hot sex. She learns about his shocking secret, a fire that burned part of his body, and how he mostly stays in his home. As they get closer to the wedding, secrets are revealed, and Layla and Griffin have to figure out just what they mean to each other. This is another in a long line of great rom-coms this year. Watching these two lead characters find each other, admit their issues and fall for each other is heartwarming. This is another one not to be missed.
