Book Review: ‘The Paradox Hotel: A Novel’ By Rob Hart

I loved Rob Hart’s last book The Warehouse and now he’s back with an exciting time travel thriller novel. Time travel is available for those who can afford it. You can pick a spot in history and go and visit and see it. And for January Jones that means being very busy at the Paradox Hotel, where people arrive to stay and have their trips. She runs security for the hotel and it’s a very busy time right now. The Government has decided to sell the business to a private owner and big meetings are going on. January has medical issues and it stems from being in the time stream too much. She sees her dead girlfriend all the time in the hotel and gets glimpses of the future and things that are going to happen. She sees a dead body in room 526 and no one else sees it and she’s determined to figure out what it means. With her past and future colliding, she has a lot to do in order to keep her job and her life. For some great comic relief she has an A1 assistant named Rosie and the barbs between the two of them is one of the highlights of the novel. A very good Sci-Fi mystery that keeps you engaged right to the ver end.

You can pick up The Paradox Hotel in stores on Tuesday, February 22nd form Ballantine Books.
