Book Review: ‘The Other Family: A Novel’ By Wendy Corsi Staub

Nora Howell and her husband and two daughters are forced to move to New York for a year for his work. They have been living in in California and like it there. They find a brownstone in Brooklyn to rent and are moving into the house. It should be a new start for the family. But someone is watching the house and they family soon learns a shocking secret….3 people were murdered there and no one has lived in the house in over 25 years. Then strange things seem to start happening and soon we learn shocking secrets. And one of the Howell’s knows who the person is that’s watching the house and we learn about a mysterious connection…it seems someone has shocking secrets and it leads to a surprise twist ending. Just what happened in this house all those years ago?

A solid thriller, with twists and turns that keep the reader engaged right up to the very end. The story uses present day and flashbacks to fill in all the backstory with a well-written story.
