There really is no way to describe how great Mitch Albom books are but to say they are GREAT! Just read one and you will see why. From Tuesdays With Morrie and The Five People You Meet In Heaven, he’s sold more than 35 million books. He also has put his money to good use finding nine charities in Detroit and operating an orphanage in Port-Au-Prince. His new book is a follow up to The Five People You Meet In Heaven, from 2006.
If you read that book you know it was Eddie’s story about his life, how he save Annie, how he died and his journey in heaven. This book is Annie’s story and follows the same structure. Annie has died and we follow her story. From the accident when Eddie saved her and how her life progressed as she grew up (and it wasn’t a happy one). To meeting the love of her life Paulo to getting married and how she ended up in heaven. She’s shocked at the five people she meets and we go on an emotional journey with her through her life and her story. It’s full of twists and turns and things you don’t see coming.
If you were a fan of The Five People You Meet In Heaven than this will love this one. If you’re like me and didn’t read the first one but read this one first, you will want to run out and get the first one like I did. I ended up reading the first one second and either way you read them, be prepared for an emotional journey that will make you wonder who would be the five people you would meet if you get to heaven.
You can pick it up in stores on Tuesday, October 9th from Harper Collins.
