Rosie and Chad are married, she’s a writer, having one book published, and working on her second. He’s a struggling actor, looking for his big break. They are barely surviving financially, and when Uncle Ivan dies, who they have been watching over, they inherit his apartment, in the historic, haunted, Windermere apartment building. Since it was built in the early 30s, there have suicides and deaths, and the building is reportedly haunted. Right from moving in, things start to go weird, Rosie is seeing ghosts, Chad’s cousin is murdered, and they’re both suspects, then another murder, and one of the tenants jumps off the roof. Rosie has learned Chad has lied about a bunch of things, and soon he goes missing, and Rosie finds her life in terrible danger. Just what is going on in this building? This is another great psychological thriller from author Lisa Unger, who never writes a bad novel. There are many twists and turns, right up to the very end. Fans of this genre will be happy with this one.
