Nick Brown is an author, with the pen name NR Strickland, who published a novel called The Elves Of Ceradon, a few years ago. It didn’t sell many copies, but has a loyal fan base, including LIly Greene, who works in publishing as an editorial assistant. She finds a new website for Strickland, and sends him an e-mail, and he replies right away, and they e-mail back and forth for months. No one knows who he is, except for his best friend, who is his current agent. He suddenly ghosts Lily, after telling her he wanted to meet her. Months later Lily is living with her sister, and Nick has moved into the building on the same floor. His book has been sold again, and HBO has bought the rights to it. He and Lily keep running into each other, and he soon figures out that she is the girl he was e-mailing with. They get closer as friends, and are attracted to each other, and soon fall for each other. But what will happen when she finds out the truth? Will she be able to move past his not being truthful? Another great, well-written rom-com, with two characters you root for to be together. Fans of the genre will not be disappointed.
You can pick up The Neighbor Favor in stores on Tuesday, February 28th from Berkley.
