Book Review: ‘The Nameless Ones: A Novel’ By John Connolly

The new novel from author John Connolly, who writes the Charlie Parker series, is sort of a Charlie Parker novel. It’s set around his friends Angel and Louis, who is a hired assassin, living in New York with Angel, it features some Charlie but he is not the focal point of the novel. When word reaches Louis that 4 friends of his have been brutally killed in Amsterdanm, he decides he has to avenge their deaths. That means going to Europe and finding a pair of brothers from Siberia that are responsible, along with a few others on their team. Louis strikes fast and gets some of the fringe people and is on the hunt for the brothers, who are in hiding. It becomes a game of cat and mouse as to who will get to who first. Another thrilling novel from Connolly that is all action and keeps the reader on the edge of their seats to see what will happen next. The characters of Louis and Angel are bad ass and hopefully will be around more in future Charlie Parker novels or as stand-alone books.

You can pick up The Nameless Ones in stores on Tuesday, October 12th from Atria.
