Andy Carpenter is on a week’s vacation with his family and friends, and the last thing he wants when he gets home is another client, but Murphy the dog leads him to his latest. BJ Bremmer owns the dog, who has found his way to Andy’s house, who once watched the dog, and when Andy returns him, he finds out BJ is in jail and accused of murdering one of his professors. He gathers the crew together, and they start digging into the murder and possible suspects, which include a drug dealer, a mobster and a Russian. As the trial draws near, Andy finds himself in some danger, but always has the awesome Marcus (one of the best characters in novels) by his side and starts his defense of BJ and hopes to pull out a miracle. This is the 30th novel in the series, and they keep getting better and better. With the great supporting cast of characters and Tara the dog, fans of the series will be happy with this one.
