The fifth novel in the Quinn & Costa novel, finds them back in Los Angeles, where Quinn is to testify in the case against David Chen, a human trafficker, who has put a price on Quinn’s head. Security is really tight, the state case against him is not a slam dunk, and federal charges may be pending as well. The morning of the hearing, Chen is gunned down, a woman is seen fleeing, There’s a lot more going on here, a bunch of corrupt cops, and FBI agents, and no one can be trusted, A shocking secret is revealed, and lives will be lost. In the middle of it are Quinn & Costa, whose lives are in danger everywhere they turn. This is another great novel in the series, with twists and turns, and a step forward for the two characters, and their love story. Fans of the series will like this one.
