Book Review: ‘The Middleman’ Is A Great Political Thriller

The Massive Brigade is a secret political society that is bracing to try and make changes to the government. They are people not happy with is happening in this country and around the world. They are led by a controversial man named Martin Bishop who has gone missing.

The way it works is people are suddenly called and go to ground. They get rid of everything they own, phones, credit cards and just leave there jobs. They all meet up in secret locations and plans are being made for what’s to come.

Special Agent Rachel Proulx has been following this for years and is trying to find out as much as she can and help bring them down. When explosions, shootings of political leaders and other things happen is it thought to be the work of the Brigade. Rachel is trying to get her boss and co-workers to believe her when she says it’s the Massive Brigade.

With Rachel leading the charge things go horribly wrong. She soon goes digging on her own with the help of a few select friends/co-workers and what she finds is a shocking conspiracy that could lead right to her own Government.

In this day and age of political unrest in the US and around the world this is a timely story author Olen Steinhauer has written of something that could very well be happening. It has twists and turns you don’t see coming.

You can pick up The Middleman in stores on Tuesday, August 7th from Minotaur Books.
