As they relive that night they learn shocking secrets about the days and hours leading up to that night and then as events unfold are brought back to the present and soon compare notes and learn a lot more had gone on that night than they knew. This is an intense, heartwarming novel that allows these four characters to move on from tragedy and move forward. This is one of those novels you will not want to put down. A great beach read.
