Mark runs the Assassins Anonymous group and has been worried about Astrid, who vanished months ago. He is hoping she is still alive, but no one has heard from her. She’s being held on a secret island in Brazil by an old foe. When she’s able to get a message to Mark via a pizza delivery, he knows she’s still alive and is determined to find her. Mark and Booker, another member of the group, track down where she is and are going to make an attempt to find her. Astrid meanwhile has a plan of her own and knows her time is nearing an end. It leads to a climatic showdown on the island. This is a great follow-up to the first novel. We get a lot more backstory on the characters and exciting action scenes. Hopefully, there will be more novels with these characters.
