Brianna Rogers is a Middle school vice principal who loves her job and her students. What she doesn’t love is her principal, who has taken the money for the library and is now upgrading the football field. His son Roman is a teacher and is hot and there’s an attraction between the two but can never be acted on. When one of the teachers is picked for a six-week Mars simulation, it can mean money for the library. Brianna joins the crew, who have to stay in the simulation for six weeks, complete four tasks, and her school will get $500,000. At the last minute, Roman joins the crew and Brianna believes he’s there to sabotage. He tells her he is not and soon their attraction becomes too much and they act on it. When she overhears something, her heart is shattered and she’s not sure if she can trust Roman. This is a fun rom-com setting, with two lead characters you enjoy following along with. This is a good follow-up to the first novel.
