The follow-up novel to 2019’s The Chosen One is another incredible novel from author Gragg. In Pakistan a military coup has taken over the country, and it threatens the lives of not only Americans still there, but the destruction of India and possibly the world. America has some forces there, but a limited amount and are trying to rescue about 6000 citizens. There’s a band of jihadists, who are striking at will and the main military threat, ready to mount a massive campaign and who have access to the nuclear bombs and codes and are ready to launch. As more American forces, as well as British, French, Dutch and other countries, fight to repel the bad guys, a group must try to disarm the nuclear warheads, while all forces are engaged in multiple fights around the country. It all comes down to one climatic showdown and a twist ending. This novel is all-action, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and you will not want to put it down. Walt Gragg with this third incredible novel has proven he’s in the same league as Brad Thor, Jack Carr and Mark Greaney. Hopefully, the next novel won’t be five years from this one!
