Author Liv Constantine is back with her second novel following the bestselling debut The Last Mrs. Parrish. A psychological thriller that starts off fast and keeps going right up to the shocking ending. Everyone is a suspect and no one is who they seem to be. With lots of twists and turns along the way you won’t be able to put it down.

Kate English (a heart surgeon) is a mess at the funeral of her mother Lily Michaels, who was brutally murdered with no suspects at all at this point. She’s trying to keep it together for her daughter Annabelle, her husband Simon and her father Harrison. Back at her house after the funeral Blaire Barrington (a bestselling author) has arrive. It’s the first time in years they have seen each other. They had a falling out before Kate’s wedding (they were best friends). They have put that behind them and are glad to see each other. Blaire promises to be their for Kate. She is a mystery/detective writer and decides she will investigate on her own and try and find the killer.

At her home Kate gets a mysterious text message threatening her. She alerts the police and they investigate with no luck. Kate gets more texts, e-mails and weird packages and things being done to her. She fears she’s losing her mind. She had an incident in her past that almost caused her to have a breakdown. Though it all Blaire is here for her and investigating potential people she thinks might be responsible.

We soon learn not everyone is who we think. Everyone seems to have secrets and we start to learn them. It leads to a shocking reveal and the killer of Lily and the person stalking Kate could be someone close to her she never would suspect. Will the person be found before it’s too late?
