A strange woman arrives at the house of Tom and Laura and says she lives here. They have no idea who she is. She says she has lost her bag at the airport with all her id, bank cards and passport. She also doesn’t remember who she is and barely knows how she got to the house. They take her in for the moment and get her to the hospital. Tom thinks she looks like someone and they name her Jemma. She looks like a woman that killed someone years ago. The Doctor thinks she looks like that woman as well as some towns people and the police are also trying to help her.

Jemma has a sort of amnesia that she may forget everything from the day before so she writes down everything every night. As the police investigate they think she could be the killer that is missing who is named Jemma. Tony helps hew out and hides her out. He seems to know more than he lets on. There’s something about him that doesn’t seem right. Soon Jemma remembers her name and she gets her stuff back at the airport and is heading to Berlin. Tony says he will go with her there.

But once they get there things fall apart. We learn a shocking truth and soon someones life will be in jeopardy and just who is who and what has been going on all this time. Not everything is as it seems and it likes to a shocking climax.

A twisty suspenseful story with a lot of twists and turns you don’t see coming. The story keeps the reader engaged right up to the very end and you won’t see what’s coming ahead of you.

You can pick up The Last Thing She Remembers in stores on Tuesday, May 28 from Park Row Books.
