Book Review: ‘The Last House On Needless Street: A Novel’ By Catriona Ward

This review will be short, since there’s so many twists and turns, anything could be a spoiler. Ted Bannerman lives in a house on a dead-end street, near a forest and the house is all boarded up. Living with him sometimes is his daughter Lauren and his cat Olivia, who reads the bible and whose thoughts we can hear. Ted isn’t all there and sometimes has can’t remember things. There’s a new neighbor looking for her sister who vanished years ago. She suspects Ted but has not proof but is keeping an eye on him. As you read along things get weirder and weirder with this group until twist after twist and bombshell after bombshell is revealed. You will never see it coming. One of the best suspensful books of the year. Stephen King ‘was blown away by it’, so you know it’s really good.

You can pick it up in stores on Tuesday, September 28th from Tor.
