Book Review: ‘The Last Guests: A Novel’ By J.P. Pomare

I liked author J.P. Pomare’s first two books and his third one is another hit. A psychological thriller that takes the reader on a ride with twists and turns right up to the very end. Lina and her husband Cain have been married for a while now but things are not really great. They have money issues, he gambles, drinks and has a temper (a former SAS officer who has PTSD from something that happened while he served) and they’re having trouble getting pregnant. Lina decides to do something drastic that will change their relationship. The also decide to rent out her home on the lake to make extra money. And Line now has a stalker and every move in the house is being watched thanks to hidden cameras. When things get out of control, someone is dead and Lina soon learns a shocking secret and she may not be able to trust the one person she should. You can pick up the book in stores on Tuesday, August 31st.
