It’s summer, and that means it’s time for the Aldon Lakes Country Club to be busy and host the wealthy with lots of fun events, swimming, tennis, and drinking. Danika Crawley is considered one of the queen bees of the club, and when she has a run-in with Augie Elling, who is working at the club for the summer, things don’t go well. She’s also the talk of the club because she has hired a male nanny, Chat, who is young and hot, to take care of her three kids. It turns out that he and Augie have a secret past, having hooked up in New York. As the summer drags on, we learn the reasons that Chat and Augie are in town, trying to figure out what really happened a few years ago to someone who died. Then, at a big summer party, all hell breaks loose, secrets are revealed, and no on’s life will be the same. This is a fun, soapy, twisty novel that starts off slow and kicks into high gear in the last third of the book. A perfect beach read.
