In Maine, Colleen Clark’s baby, Henry, went missing while she was asleep and a bloody blanket was found in the trunk of her car. She’s the prime suspect and will be arrested and charged soon. Her lawyer Moxie Castin has hired P.I. Charlie Parker to look into the case and help prove her innocence. The evidence against her is flimsy at the moment, and he hopes Charlie can find what they need to clear her. Sabine is a psychic, who helped find a missing child years ago, hears cries from Henry and goes to Charlie with her thoughts and concerns. They each explore leads, and it soon leads to old enemies and a mysterious house, and we learn the truth of what happened to baby Henry. This is another great novel in the series. The Charlie Parker series is one of the best-written, thrilling series out there. Each novel can be read as a stand-alone, so no worries if you haven’t read one before.
