Lauren is single in London, is 30, and on this evening when she returns home finds a man in her flat, who says he’s her husband. When she looks through her phone, and calls her friends and family, they confirm she is married. Then he goes into the attic to change a light bulb, and another husband comes down, and it continues on and on, as each man doesn’t meet her needs. With each husband, her life changes in big ways, and each man is different from the previous one, and Lauren finds little things that make her send them back to the attic. Once Lauren gets fed up with this life, she has to make a decision that could end the cycle. This is a unique, fun, laugh out loud at times novel, that keeps you entertained and reading along. A great debut novel.
