The 27th book (and the final book) in the series, is a two-fold story. For Peter Decker his time as a detective is coming to a close, as he and his wife Rina have bought a house in Israel and are going to move there. But first he has a couple of cases he wants to wrap up. His his foster son Gabe, his mother Terry calls with a frantic call, she’s been beaten up and her kids are missing. She’s in the middle of a divorce from her husband in India. Gabe reaches out to his rich father Chris, who owns an empire in a Nevade town, including brothels, bars and anything you want sexually. He has never gotten over Terry and Gabe begs him to help her. He goes and gets her and her daughter and brings them back to his compound. They have a very complicate history or violence and his temper. But he’s ready to forgive her and help her. Her son is missing and Chris helps to get him back. As Decker investigates his case, Chris and Terry come to an understanding, until tragedy strikes and it affects both families. This is an intense story with intense scenes that may be difficult for some. The story is top-notch and engaging throuough and long-time readers of the series will be sad it’s over. Fans of the series will be satisifed with this final novel in the series.
