When Maya was a high school senior her best friend, Aubrey, suddenly died when she was with a mysterious man named Frank, someone Maya had been around all summer long. Now seven years later Maya sees a video online and it shocks her. A man and a woman are in a diner, the woman suddenly drops dead at the table. The video is about 5 minutes long, with no audio. But Maya also knows who the man is, it’s Frank. And it’s happened again, although no one would believe her thinking Frank has some kind of power. Maya decides to head to her hometown in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and confront her past and it alls leads back to Frank and a cabin. She intends to find the truth no matter what, even if it means her own life. This is the debut thriller novel of author Ana Reyes and it’s a solid start to her career. An engaging novel that keeps you reading along and with some well place twists, leads to a great climax.
