Cassidy Foster has broken up with her boyfriend, and her best friend gets her a job in Hollywood to be an assistant for film director Nate Sterling, and his hot, actress wife Marisol. It’s a dream job, that pays really well, and she packs up and moves from Austin, TX. When she meets them she finds them a hot couple, yet quirky in their personalities. She also witnesses them fighting and thinks maybe not everything is as it seems with them. Nate offers her the chance to read and critique new scripts, and she finds herself attracted to him. He soon asks her to follow his wife, he thinks she’s having an affair. Four weeks later, via fast-forward scenes, we learn one of them has died, and Cassidy is a prime suspect. We soon learn there’s also more to Cassidy than we thought, and she now has to figure out who the murderer is before she is arrested, and it leads to a shocking discovery. This is a fun, twisty, soapy thriller, that hits all the right notes. A perfect beach read.
