Val Hargrove, who is the daughter of the owner of the Alexandra Eagles hockey team, is hired along with Darla to observe the team and report back their findings on them. What Val doesn’t count on is seeing the captain Brock ‘The Rock’ Thomson and an immediate attraction between the two. The guy is hot, is nice and takes care of his family, including his newphew and niece. She’s not supposed to date him but secretly does, they have hot sex (with some steamy scenes) and they fall in love. What he doesn’t know is what her job really is. When that blows up in her face, it blows up Brock’s life and he isn’t sure what his future with Val will be. This book is great. The hot connection between the two, the steamy scenes, and the love of family all make this one of the best books of summer.
