The first novel in a new triology is a great beginning to the series. Krona is a young regulator who’s working her first event doing security for a collection of enchanted artifacts. When a man attacks during the event, Krona is distracted and two of them are stolen. Krona now feels she needs to prove herself and get them back before any damage is done. Then strange things happen and people are being killed. It seems to be traced backed to the late Louis Charbon and if he’s somehow reaching out from the dead. It’s a solid start set in a mythical world with magic and sci-fi elements that envests the readers and leaves you waiting for next installment of the series.
