Patrick is back and in London now filming a new movie, when his brother Greg calls and says he’s getting married, five years after the first novel, in Italy in a month. He wants Patrick there and also to watch the kids, Maisie, now 14, and Grant, now 11, who are having a hard time with his getting remarried. They fly to London and for the next month Patrick is going to show them and tell them about love, all the while the kids beg him to stop the marriage, while they travel through Europe. When they finally get to Lake Como, where the wedding is taking place, Patrick finds a rival in the bride’s sister, who is a lesbian, and being called launt. Then the night before the wedding a big blow-up takes place, and it’s up to Patrick to try and fix everything, in the process has to fix his own love life, and just who is going to get married? This is an excellent follow-up to the first novel. Filled with all sorts of pop-culture refrences, lol moments and the unique writing of author Steven Rowley. Well worth the wait between books. I highly recommend picking up the first book (which may become a movie as the rights were bought a while ago) as well.
