For Jamie and Victoria it should be the best time of their lives. They’re finally having a baby, a son they are going to name Danny, they’ve been trying for years to get pregnant. They decide to go away for a weekend a few weeks before the baby is to arrive. They find a remote guest house run by an elderly couple, a retired midwife named Fiona and retired cop named Barry. Then things go wrong. When Victoria tries to go outside to get some air she finds the doors locked. Then she goes into early labor and Jamie cannot find their keys or phones and no sign of Fiona and Barry. Then weeks later they’re back in London and no baby Danny with them. We slowly learn as the days go along what really happened at that guest house. Someone died, they have no baby and they’re getting threatening letters of blackmail to keep their mouths shut. This is a great story with so many twists and turns, you will not want to put the book down. Nothing is as it seems and this is one of the best books of the fall.

You can pick up The Guest House in stores on Tuesday, September 13th.
