Book Review: ‘The Girl By The Bridge: A Detective Konrad Novel’ By Arnalour Indridason

In Reykjavik, retired police detective Konrad is called by an elderly couple when their granddaughter, Danni (who is dealing drugs), goes missing. As he begins investigating, his past comes back to haunt him, including who killed his father 50 years ago. When Danni is found dead, the case goes to the CID, and to Konrad’s friend Marta, who asks him to help with the case. The investigation turns up ghosts from the past (and literally a possible ghost), and just what happened to Danni. This is a really well-written novel, that has lots of action, twists, and a story that will keep you reading along. You will not want to put this one down.
