Don Winslow retired from writing with his last book except he didn’t. He’s back with six short stories that are intense, fun and thrilling. A man heading to jail wants to set his wife up with money before he goes. He plans a casino heist and everything has to go perfectly and he gets his crew together. A young man getting ready for college works his butt off to save money to pay for it because he has screwy parents only to find out all his hard work is for not. A married man who has a beautiful wife, a young son and a great job has just gotten a promotion and gets into a fight in the parking lot which changes his life and that of his family. There are also three other short stories that are enjoyable in only a way that Don Winslow can write. Here’s hoping he will come out of retirement to write more novels.
