Archie, who lives in London, loves his grand-aunts with all his heart, but they can be a handful. Penny and Josephine, who are sisters, are almost 100 years, but still love to drink, go out, and have a good time, and cause trouble. They both served in WWII, and only a handful of veterans left. They have received many awards over the years, and now France is honoring them, and it means a return to the city that meant something to both of them. While there they meet an old nemesis, and prepare to pull off a heist, as we learn via flashbacks they both have led quite the lives. And when a situation takes place, these two women, at their age, may be the only ones to defuse it. This is a great, character driven novel. Readers fall in love with these two women, and all the exploits they have been threw over the years. This in one you don’t want to put down. An early candidate in the new year for one of the best books of the year.
