Book Review: ‘The Engagement Party: A Novel’ By Finley Turner

Kass and Murray just got engaged, and the next morning are still in the afterglow of it when they get an invite to their engagement party this weekend at Murray’s family estate in North Carolina. She knows next to nothing about his family, and is nervous about this. When they get there, it’s more than she imagined, they are a very rich, and powerful family, and have expectations for Murray. As the days lead to the party Kass is feeling uncomfortable, and during the party things become really strange. Someone is murdered, secrets are revealed and things are overheard. Murray has not been honest about a lot of things, but neither has Kass, and now she’s a suspect in the murder, and things just go haywire from there. And when truths are revealed, no one may make it out alive. A solid, psychological thriller, with twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. Fans of this genre will be happy with this one.
